Greetings NHS Class of 1954

Our 50th reunion is just around the corner. We hope you are looking forward to that weekend as much as we are. Enclosed you will find the registration form. Betty and Jerry Ashcraft will be in charge of registration this year. Your reservations should be made by September 1st. Checks should be made payable to NHS Class 1954 so that Joan Wilson is able to deposit them in our class account. Newark High School has changed their football schedule and there is no home game the weekend of October 15th. Our mixer, at Damon’s - 1486 Granville Road, will start at 7:00. We will have a private room and you can order food and drinks if you want. It would be helpful if we know how many will attend that event. The reunion dinner and picture taking session will be Saturday evening October 16th at Moundbuilders Country Club. The photographer has requested that we be finished registering and lined up for the picture early. He would like to finish by 5:30 so he has time to print and return the pictures that evening. Registration will start at 4:00. Your name tag will designate whether your meat choice was chicken or steak. On Sunday, Marv and Sandy have offered to hold an open house at their residence, 1256 Stratford Woods Road. The time will be 9:00 to 11:00. The reunion committee will provide a continental breakfast of coffee, juice, muffins, doughnuts, and bagels. The cost for this weekend will be $50 per person. This covers the various expenses for dinner, paper and postage and the printing of the directory. If you are unable to attend and would like a picture and directory sent, please return the registration form with a check for $20. If you wish to make a donation to our class gift, Call to College, a separate check would be appreciated. We anticipate spending a great weekend catching up with all of our “old” classmates. The time is near for another reunion. Can you believe that it has been "50" years since we were last at NHS sitting in Economics class with Mr. Hale or listening to Garry Wharton, our President, present Mr. Boyd with six school clocks from the Class of 1954?

Plan to join us the weekend of October 1517, 2004 for our 50th Reunion. If you have never attended one, let this be your first! The Reunion Committee has been working hard to make this reunion a memorable one.

There will be an opportunity to see NHS football on Friday night followed by an informal gathering. Saturday our dinner and photo session will be held at the newly remodeled Moundbuilders Country Club. Sunday morning we will meet again for an informal brunch.
